- Project timelines are target schedules only. Delays caused by weather, permitting authorities, supply chain disruptions, or client-requested changes are beyond our control and may affect completion dates.
- Scope changes requested after contract execution may result in additional costs and timeline adjustments, documented via written change orders.
3. Contractual Agreements
All construction, renovation, and project management services are governed exclusively by the written project contract signed by both VF Construction Services and the client. In the event of any conflict between information on this website and a signed project contract, the signed contract shall take precedence.
No verbal agreement, email exchange, or website content constitutes a binding legal obligation unless formalized in a signed written agreement.
4. Licensing and Compliance
VF Construction Services operates in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal construction regulations, including:
- Contractor licensing requirements in all jurisdictions where we operate
- Building codes and zoning regulations applicable to each project
- Occupational health and safety standards (OSHA and applicable local equivalents)
- Environmental regulations governing demolition, waste disposal, and materials use
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have obtained all necessary approvals, easements, and permissions from property owners, HOAs, or other third parties prior to project commencement.
5. Payment Terms
Payment schedules are established in each individual project contract and typically include:
- An initial deposit due upon contract execution
- Progress payments tied to defined project milestones
- A final payment due upon substantial completion and client acceptance
Late payments may be subject to interest charges as specified in the project agreement. Failure to make timely payments may result in a work stoppage and/or the filing of a mechanic's lien on the property in accordance with applicable state law.
6. Warranties
VF Construction Services warrants our workmanship against defects in construction for a period as specified in each project contract, typically one (1) year from the date of substantial completion. This warranty covers:
- Defects in workmanship resulting from our construction activities
- Structural deficiencies arising from our methods or materials
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by client misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications
- Normal wear and tear or weathering
- Damage resulting from acts of God, flooding, earthquakes, or other natural disasters
- Manufacturer defects in owner-supplied materials or fixtures
Manufacturer warranties on installed materials and equipment are passed through to the client where applicable.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VF Construction Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of this website or from any project dispute, including but not limited to:
- Loss of business revenue or profits
- Loss of use of property during construction
- Third-party claims arising from project activities outside our direct control
Our total cumulative liability to any client shall not exceed the total value of the applicable signed project contract.
8. Insurance
VF Construction Services maintains the following insurance coverage during all active project engagements:
- General Liability Insurance
- Workers' Compensation Insurance
- Commercial Auto Insurance (where applicable)
Certificates of insurance are available upon request prior to project commencement. Clients are encouraged to maintain their own homeowner's or property insurance during the construction period.
9. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute arising from or related to a construction project or these Terms, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be submitted to mediation before pursuing litigation. Formal legal proceedings, if required, shall be conducted in the jurisdiction where the project is located.
